BELOW ARE INSPECTION STICKERS REQUIRED IN THE TRUCKS WINDSHIELD (drivers side) AND WRECKER PERMITS ISSUED BY BOTH THE CITY OF TALLAHASSEE & LEON COUNTY
This sticker is issued only if Officer J.Gandy has inspected the towing unit. All units who operate in the City Of Tallahassee should have this sticker. As with LCSO there is a number to track each wrecker/tow truck. This one is tracking #1403, expires the 12th month of year 06. Good or bad, all information should be directed to Officer J. Gandy at TPD. IF you see a crash site that has glass or vehicle parts left in the road, he can track down the companies who worked the crash, have them go back and clear the road way of any glass or broken parts left. We have been inspected since this sticker was posted This is an expired permit..
This is a Tallahassee Police Dept. wrecker permit, as with the county this is issued after a background check. It is also used to track any information about the actual permit holder. Some companies may have more drivers than wreckers. Each person who has the legal right to look inside a vehicle to get information such as the legal owner must have a wrecker permit, again the picture should always match the person....
(Below) LCSO TOWING WRECKER PERMIT. The number 0002 is the permit issued to Danny by the county. As with the City Permit above, this is required in order to be included on the wrecker rotation list for Leon County Sheriffs Office. This permit should be visable to the Law Enforcement and public while recovering or towing for LCSO. Leon County has this law to protect the public (ex: To keep a person who doesn't pass a background check from towing your vehicle)
This permit is issued after a LCSO Wrecker application is completed, The packet includes: Background check on the driver, finger printing, proof of all mandatory insurances:For the wrecker, storage lot & on hook. All information reported to the LCSO Wrecker Administrator about the company or driver is put in this file.
The 003 is used to track all reports given to LCSO about us. Each wrecker or tow truck which has passed Leon County Wrecker Inspection has this sticker. The number in the middle is good for that unit only. The LCSO wrecker administer will place any information given by the public or Deputies that units file. ID badges with the wrecker operators picture and tracking number is also given to each person allowed to tow or work a crash site in Leon County. BE SAFE THE PICTURE ID SHOULD ALWAYS MATCH THE OPERATOR.
If you see us in your complex or hang out, we're there to HELP someone, we only tow by the request of the owner and law enforcement.
